"I take a mindful and sensitive approach to each animal, aiming to reveal the essential nature of Africa's rhinos, elephants, and big cats - remarkable beings whose survival depends on our support."
- Mireille, Art for Wild artist and photographer.

The Story behind the Art: The Camera

Mireille, the photographer, uses top-of-the-line equipment to capture superior image quality. Her high-resolution Z7II full-frame camera paired with a fast and sharp Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S lens allows her to capture every detail, from the texture of an animal's fur to the light in its eyes.

Mireille's camera also allows her to take intimate close-up shots that create a sense of proximity with the subject. By focusing on the eyes, she captures the viewer's attention and invites them to be captivated by the subject's gaze. This approach arouses emotions and questions about who the animal is, where it comes from, and what its story might be.

Through her camera lens, Mireille aims to reveal the essence, beauty, and vulnerability of each animal, creating intimacy and compassion between the viewer and the subject. By zooming in on unique personalities and their touching stories of survival, she provides insight into the freedom and soul of nature itself.

The Story behind the Art:
A unique creative Process

Mireille spends extended periods in the bush, capturing an animal's unique personality, tracking its movements, and exploring its mystery and powerful story. This in-depth study is necessary for such subjects and produces a limited and exclusive body of work.

Mireille then translates her subjects into art pieces in print, using minimalistic treatment to highlight particular characteristics that reveal the animal's essential nature and individual beauty, while also hinting at its vulnerability and highlighting its role as an ambassador for wildlife conservation. When photographing the animals, Mireille follows a minimalistic approach, aiming to reveal their essential nature and individual beauty.

The result is a sincere and intimate portrait that speaks of a hopeful future and Africa's great natural heritage.
